£7m investment plan for Doncaster hospital trust

A Doncaster hospital trust is recruiting more nurses, building a new ward and increasing the number of beds as part of a £7m investment plan.

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is in the process of implementing the changes that will include a new 19 bed ward at Doncaster Royal Infirmary - expected to be completed in the next three months.

A recruiting process is underway for 36 nursing posts across the trust with more expected to follow.

Meanwhile 16 more beds will be opened at Doncaster Royal Infirmary, in addition to the new ward, 10 at Mexborough Montagu and 11 at Bassetlaw Hospital.
